Need Trans

Hey, I am fairly new to this. Okay- I wont lie, I have used an older version of the menu before and fell in love with it. Now I am trying to update to the newer version and am running into trouble. I can't really get the menu background to be transparent. Just the menu headers, not the expandable drop down parts- I need those to have a background. I was wondering if anybody could help this poor sad newbie. Thanks-
