<HTML>Hi All,

Beta 2 is now at <a href=http://milonic.co.uk/menu/beta/>http://milonic.co.uk/menu/beta/</a>

Can you all give it the once over. I'm pretty sure I've fixed everything.

Cheers

Andy</HTML>

<HTML>Andy,

The Toggle follow scrolling when clicked still causes the menu to scroll up beyond the top border of the window (IE 5.5 NT4).

Top level menu items have no separators between them (perhaps by design?)

<HTML>Hi Andy,

I have noticed the same problem on my PC running Win Me and IE6.

I have also noticed that whith the follow toggle selected the submenus don't timeout properly and stay visible on the screen.

Other than that the new colour options are the improvement I was waiting for!

Thnks,
Neil.</HTML>

<HTML>Andy,

Tested menu on Windows 2000 pro with IE6 and Netscape 4.7, also on NT4 with IE5 and Netscape 4.7 Everything worked as expected except the above noted follow scrolling problem that Andre mentioned. Can't wait for the release!!

thanks

<HTML>Hi,

The reason the menu goes "up and away" is because it's top and left positions have been set OFF screen.

The menu only becomes visible because it gets glued to the table cell. By setting the menu to Follow Scrolling it gets set to it's default position which is something like -100 X -100.

I'll get a fix on the beta site so it removes confusion.

<HTML>Hi Andy,

It looks sweet, congrats !

I don't think you got the width setting Opera 6.0 bug fixed yet ?

I downloaded the page and the scripts for
http://milonic.co.uk/menu/beta/

Now if a change the width setting
In the file menu_array.js on line 100 from
, // Menu Width - Menus width in pixels

to

100, // Menu Width - Menus width in pixels

then it will no longer render properly, the vertical seperator lines will not show.
Looks fine in IE though.

Cheers

<HTML>Hey Andy,

Nice work mate!

One point though - is it just the mmenu.js file that has been changed or do we have to replace the array file as well?

Thanks,
Neil.</HTML>

<HTML>Both have changed but only colors in the array.

The biggest change has been made to mmenu.js

<HTML>I think I've found a new bug I'm afraid.

Setting the Screen Position to anything else than blank or ""
will result in an error, as soon as I try with
"center" or "middle;" or anything like that the script will abort with an error:
www is undefined code 0

I've testeded it on the files from your /beta directory.

Btw. is this the thread for bug reporting the beta menu ?

<HTML>Arh yes, forgot about that.

ww is undefined.

At the top of mmenu.js type this

ww=0;

Anywhere will do, just as long as ww exists as a variable that should fix it.

And yes this is the place Beta bugs :-)

<HTML>Hi all,
Excuse me if this seems a daft question but how are people getting hold of the beta other than viewing it on the Milonic test page?

The download link from the test page gives me a 404 error and the standard download link is still using v3.2.5.

Thanks for any help. :)

<HTML>I'm really sorry to be a pain but I still have the same problems on Mac.

Unfortunately, had problems in IE 4.5 and NS 4.7 using Mac OS 9.0.4

NS4.7 - page reloads every few seconds on a continual loop making the page unreadable

IE4.5 - menu is not in table but top left of the page and submenus are all "scrunched up" bottom of the letters get cut off.</HTML>

<HTML>I'm sorry I should be more specific, it's only on the "samples" submenu that the menu items are scrunched up- all others look fine.</HTML>

<HTML>hi andy....

everything looks fine in win98 using ie5.5 and netscape6.2. i did not experience any of the problems discussed above.

the menu on a mac, however, is still not working quite right. i am using os8.5 with ie5.0....as i experienced before, both "downloads" and "configuration" sub-menu are appearing to the left of where they should be. everything else seems fine though.

i am looking forward to putting it to use. great work andy!

<HTML>setting Menu Width to anything but blank, makes menu titles display in different postions (some centred some left and some right) and different border colors (some in white, some in 336699). w2000, msie 6, menu in table cell.

"ffffff", // Mouse Off Font Color
"6699cc", // Mouse Off Background Color
"ffffff", // Mouse On Font Color
"336699",// Mouse On Background Color
"ffffff", // Menu Border Color

-------------------------

, // Menu Top - The Top position of the menu in pixels
, // Menu Left - The Left position of the menu in pixels
100, // Menu Width - Menus width in pixels
1, // Menu Border Width</HTML>

<HTML>Sorry, only seperators between menu titles are in wrong color.</HTML>

<HTML>ok, im a spammer, i know, but here is whats wrong actually. When setting Menu Width to anything but blank or 0, right seperator of every menu title turns to "Mouse On Background Color". This happens even to last menu title (or closing seperator). Actualy only seperator showing correct color is first, right before Home.

When setting "Menu Border Width" to 0, last final seperator shows up correctly. There is something wired in Menu Width option.

Can you please email me solution?</HTML>

<HTML>Netscape renders font sizes differently - a bit smaller - than IE, if you look at the beta menu page with NS (4.61 on NT) you will note that the menu does not fill the width of the cell, as IE (5.5) does.

I think I've seen a workaround that increases font sizes for NS purposes - perhaps this can be adopted in the menu.
Thanks

<HTML>mac ie 5 places the sub menu offset up, instead of down.

mac ie 5 - the menu seems to stop other elements like forms, dhtml, and java from working. It also takes a lot longer to load on Ie 5 Mac.</HTML>
