floating menu and page margin

Hi

I'm using the floating menu (as on Andy's front page). However, his is nicely positioned a few pixels from the edge of the screen. Mine runs right up to the edge of the screen. I don't see a setting to change this - is there?

And, is there any coding that will act as a stop-bar so that a floating element stops at a certain point on the page?
